The stone of the earth
Jade jewelry in sterling silver
Jade is the oldest kept stone in the world. It was carved before writing, given at births and unions, and worn until it took on the warmth of the person wearing it. Our jade is natural and untreated, set in solid sterling silver — jade pendants, jade bangles, jade rings and green jade necklaces made to be worn every day rather than kept in a box.

What jade means
Across Chinese, Māori and Mesoamerican traditions, jade carries the same three meanings: protection, prosperity and constancy. It is the stone of the long view — value that accrues slowly, love that stays, luck that follows patience rather than chance.
Green jade in particular is associated with the heart and with growth. It is the piece you give when you mean to say that you will still be here.
Jade pendants and green jade necklaces
A jade pendant sits at the throat and warms against the skin — the traditional way to keep the stone close through the day. Every divinità pendant ships on an adjustable 16–18 inch sterling silver chain.
Because our jade is natural, tone and veining vary from stone to stone. Two green jade necklaces are never quite the same colour, and that is the point.
Jade bangles and bracelets
The jade bangle is the oldest form of the stone in jewelry: one unbroken circle, traditionally worn on the receiving hand — the left — as a piece of protection you do not take off.
Ours pair jade with sterling silver so the stone is held rather than hidden, and sized to slide over the widest part of the hand with a little resistance.
How to tell real jade — and how to care for it
Real jade is cool to the touch, dense for its size, and shows soft internal variation rather than perfectly even colour. Dyed stone tends to pool colour in cracks; glass rings hollow and warms instantly in the hand.
Rinse jade in lukewarm water, dry with a soft cloth, and keep it away from ultrasonic cleaners, solvents and prolonged heat. Skin contact and daily wear are good for it.
Questions about jade
- Is your jade real and natural?
- Yes. We use untreated natural jade selected for depth of colour and translucency. It is never dyed, filled or stabilised, so each stone varies slightly in tone and veining.
- What does jade symbolise?
- Jade is traditionally the stone of protection, prosperity and constancy. Green jade is associated with the heart, growth and steady love; it is given at births, unions and new beginnings.
- Which wrist should a jade bangle be worn on?
- Tradition places the jade bangle on the left — the receiving hand — so the stone draws protection and fortune toward the wearer. Many people simply wear it on the non-dominant wrist for comfort.
- What metal is your jade jewelry set in?
- Solid sterling silver (925), hand-finished and rhodium-protected against tarnish. We do not use plated base metals.
- How do I clean jade jewelry?
- Lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, chlorine, perfume and household solvents, and store the piece separately in its pouch.
